Thanks for the info earlier, got mine flipped on its side and removed the underseal last weekend. :)

/off topic: how was it underneath when stripped it back? When I saw it when up for sale, it was just sooo difficult to tell...

(or maybe I'm jumping the gun - probably a whole members motors thread waiting to happen!)

It is actually pretty good I think, quite similar to Infinity's underneath.

I discovered the chassis legs have already been seam welded at some point, and that the majority of the underseal had been removed and possibly covered with that por15 stuff [:s]

I was thinking about sticking up some pics at some point. Sorry to go O/T Infinity!

Looking under your car those two box sections always seem to get crushed up over the years.

Sorry I haven't put any pics up for ages but here are the next few!!

With the shell now prepared and the interior primed i moved onto installing the cage.

The cage was welded onto six bases, these were tacked in after the cage was dummie assembled

    sorry for not updating

with the all the feet tack welded in i began to assemble the cage to see if things were lining up. A little bit of trimming was required in certain area's

the cage was initally held in place by clamps and cable ties

    checking Rear bar location

Rear cage in place, the cage has not been welded at this point, but due to its tight fitting nature it stays together! (note clamp on bottom left)

After I was happy with the location of the rear I moved onto the front, I found the rear end had to be done first as everything was connected to the main central roll over bar, If this was too far forward then the rear bars were too short [:^(]
