Well those who know me know i loved my old audi s8, and how i missed it badly when it went... after a "blip" of owning an octavia 4x4, and then for a very short while a clio sport 182, i am now back into audi S ownership again New badger wagen is a 2000 audi S6 4.2 v8, 40v. its even got a colour tv in it.. lol and a georgeous big stainless steel exhaust on it which sounds awesome.. a true petrol heads idea of sound to die for. its a tow car also when the detachable bar is fitted next week, so you may seen the yellow peril badgerwagen being dragged about by the S6 Badgerwagen happy chappy :funk:
power plans is leave it alone.. brakes on the shopping list to buy/build wheels also, as its only on 17", which look too small to me. found out this afternoon when trying that my same style 18" rims off my old s8 dont fit this one, wrong offset. et35 on the s6, et48 on s8. was'nt expecting that. doh! V8 and an exhaust note to drool over. this one is sporty compared to my old s8. spritely, with much smoother g'box and throttle response is much crisper. 5v head this one, 4v on my old s8. i'm back.. V8 big lardy audi again. sensible road car. Clio traded in for this one.
towbar from a friend at m8s rates is going to be 320 fitted, brinks i think he got for it, detachable, hidden thing. fitting it this coming week. i did'nt fancy the avant, as the 4x4 octy estate was too noisy amongst other things i just did'nt like about that particular car. saloon, quieter, but still cavanous boot. we got away with the s8 being loaded up for racedays, so s6 should be ok.. hopefully S6 has a bulldog kind of stance about it.. mean looking, menacing kinda look. just want to get some larger wheels on it as the 17's look too small to me
these are on the list style wise.. 18" Modav W33 5x112 ET45 Hyper Silver - WRONG offset for me, need ET35 but wheel design I quite like OR 18" Alloy Wheels Team Dynamic Pro Race These look similar to Sportec 10's? like the TT shop sells My S8 rims are 8x18 et48, the S6 rims are 8x17 et35 and the s8 rims dont fit the fronts with too much inset they just touch the calipers. tried fitting my old S8 8x18 rims tonight.. only had one set of spacers (15mm) of the right size in stock after all.. fitted on fronts and filled the arches up.. tyres are taller on the s8 rims.. 245-45-18 vs 255-40-17 off the S6 - looked phat tho. removed it again. order some more spacers tomoz.. going to go for 20mm all round. fill out those phat arches with those oh so phat wheels.. My old S8 wheel cantre caps have been put in a "safe place" so new centre caps ordered only 8 each so not too bad for an audi part (speedline wheels), very very light wheels for their size. will try it and see. next installment messing about with wheels on weds when the spacers arrive.
I missed mine too badly.. The S6 is a sportier car tho, every day that passes, I think its so much sportier than the S8 was, faster responding engine, tighter smoother g'box... If the S8 ever was its 340bhp this feels like 440bhp (obviously is'nt) but feck does it just growl and f*ck off up the road so much less effort) When did you get rid of your big beastie? V8 you MUST have a BIG EXHAUST to hear it..
Considering LPG conversion for the S6. interesting youtube showing petrol run vs lpg (slower) run - thoughts? LPG on smaller picture, 98UL on larger one
my mates got a nice kit on his vento vr6 that he's on about breaking. supposedly cost 2500 to have fitted and has the spare ports for a V8.
