I am having a problem with my 1991 1.8 GTi 16v... The engine turns over but it just will not spark... I have changed the dizzy cap the leads, the battery, the coil... What else could it be... To set the scene, she broke down on the motorway, got towed to services, where the recovery guy tried to bump me but he used his truck battery instead of a booster, 24v... Car hasn't sparked since, I think the original reason for the breakdown was the fact an injector had come loose and fallen out.

    Can anyone help please.

If it's had 24v up it, it may have fried the ignition ECU/amplifier etc

How much do you want for it, because that is the only thing I can think of now that I haven't changed...
