Oil light flashing

    Hi all

    Changed my thermostate and fan switch yesterday, and since then my oil light is flashing.
    No buzzer just flashing, it went off yesterday after about 20 mins of driving however I just started it up and the light is flashing again.

    Any ideas?

    check the blue/black wire to the large blue or brown oil switch on the oil filter housing, make sure its not earthing out anywhere. if you disconnect the wire from the switch light should never come on. If that all checks out then either the switch is bad or you really do have low oil pressure. switch should be blue or brown 0.24 or 0.3bar rating, but only go by colour code if genuine VW

    Just updating this, it turned out to be a faulty .3bar switch on top.of the filter housing.
