Have an old alarm system and its has been just jammed up under the dash which makes the trim cover pieces very hard to fit and it is just held with electrical ties, its really not wired up to well but I know little about these systems and don't want a non start issue when I get the ABF in,besides it won't work anyway.
Any advise would be a great help ,cheers.

start with alarm brain, follow all the wires from it cutting out where it joins to original wiring. then you'll have some wires with bare insulation to tape up and some cut wires to re-join.

as its a corrado the ignition and stalk looms unplug separately, and these are where most of the bodgery will be. So you can remove from the car for repair, or just bin and replace with ce2 mk2 or mk3 uncut looms :)

just note with mk3 looms go for poverty spec, as on cars with dual chamber type lights the flasher switch wiring is a bit different. though not too hard to convert back or you could use good bits from both old and new looms to make a nice minty fresh one
