Hi. I’ve just bought a 1982 5 door CL. Boot does not open, key doesn’t turn and it feels as though it’s locked and I don’t have a key for it. The previous owner assured me the key for the boot is the same as the rest of the locks. Can I unlatch it from the inside? If not what’s the best way to get in with the least amount of damage?

From inside push on the lever.
By the way lock barrel looks it is already unlocked, unless the tab goes under lock push lever.

thanks, I did try pushing the lever. will try again. Looking at pics online, the barrel locking bit is actually missing so probably broken off.
