polo 6n bam engine swap

    hi im jme from cornwall looking to get help and information from anyone that can help me build my polo 6n with a bam engine hope everyone is well and ready for the summer

    Hi. There are special mounts to bolt it in, there was a guy on ebay selling them, and epytec too from memory, block is taller than the polo so it drops it I believe.
    Not sure of driveshafts, and obviously it's wiring too, but info on here, or get loom conversion.
    Quite a few lupo conversion threads on the Internet, so pretty similar.

    hi there thanks for ur reply iv got the engine mounts sorted its mainly the wiring iv been quoted £375 by a speacialist which will be plug and play and working obd2 port its just alot of money to b spending lol but atleast id know its correct

    There’s a few guys around that do them, John on here, William Skelton there’s another guy in slough but I can’t remember his name

    hi again would any one have any idea of how to contact william skelton or john on here i sent my wiring looms to the specialist 8 weeks ago and they wont reply to my messages or calls so im in a pickle lol trying to find new looms is costly so need to know what to order off the bay any help much appreciated thanks in advance was really enjoying the build will get some pics up soon if anyones intrested

    John is me ;) The guy in slough is my mate 'James E Looms' on Facebook.

    for the big ecu plug half any mk4 type dbw 20v loom with wideband lambda will do if your loom builder knows what he is doing, only thing bam has extra really is EGT sensor which is easy to add assuming you actually want one. for the rest of it the main differences you need to worry about is what side the throttle is on and whether it has VVT or not. again both easy sorted but for an easy life go for a bog std AUM/AUQ type loom that'll have everything you need in there

    but yeah, book yourself in first then speak to the loom builder about what he wants you to supply
