i was recently lucky enough to get my hands on an early mk2 gti. its an 85 3 door altlas grey. it appears to have been treated/looked after in its time on the road. it came with a momo steering wheels, full stainless exhaust and an original power rohr pipe. original dealer plates, - LEADLEY. it has been standing for 4 years in the garden of the owners parents after the head gasket had failed. (owner left it with his parents and moved to shefield i believe) it didnt come with any history and i am awaiting the delivery of the logbook. i thought that with it being quite an eary golf somebody may know it. its from Bramhall Stockport. Hi I owned this car for around 10 years or so from about 1990 . (Don't know if you still own it) I would love to see it again, I used to help run club gti I put the power rohr pipe and stainless on , but not the steering wheel Leadley garage was in Sutton in Ashfield, Notts Thanks Milly
Hi Milly, I have not been on the forum for a very long time, yes I still own the car and I recently got in touch with the owner that owned it prior to me, so I may have contact with the last two owners!
