Redundant main earth

    Just found this redundant main earth under the battery. The other end is under a engine to gearbox bolt. New one is to next bolt round. Could it be something to do with headlight loom upgrade? All comments received gratefully. John, loom removal is a PITA. Thanks 20200617_212340.jpg

    Looks like someone just replaced the original braided one and didn't remove it.

    I guess they upgraded the main earth but it wasnt made exactly like original so the old one had to stay. later cars its battery -> chassis -> gearbox. if the new one doesnt reach the box they would have had to keep the old one to earth engine. or if the new one only goes to engine they need the old one to earth to the chassis point if that makes sense
