Is there an easy way I can rig up my rev counter to work with my engine ( AGU 1.8T ) ?

I'm still using my 1.8 driver clocks if that makes any difference.

    Cheers.

You just need to solder in two diodes with agu coil packs. Should be cheap and easier. Worth a try anyway first as you have to do wiring regardless of what solution...

Splice in diodes to coil trigger wires 1 and 2. Join other ends of the diodes together and connect to the red black tach feed.

Diodes only allow current one way so the direction of them should be from coil to tach.

That's what qpeng say and I use it on mine no probs.

if you keep the mk3 coil just open the flap on the side, there is a negative terminal inside pop your rev counter wire to that.

or better option is bin the rubbish mk3 coil and convert to the uber reliable mk1/2 electronic ignition tci unit and coil ;)
