Bought this last week. Believe it or not its my 9th Corrado, 3rd silver one. I just wanted something older and fun to muck around with after selling my Mk4 R32 to raise some cash. Its relatively low mileage, not much of a history on it but is in decent condition and previous owner replaced a lot of the mechanicals. Body has been resprayed at some point and its overall a decent job. Few wee bits too keep an eye on. Not really much to do other than change wheels (although Im growing to like the BBS reps) and add a few more stock look bits. Ive removed the orange front tint, changed interior lights back to green and dash will go the same. Going to try and reinstate rear VW badge somehow (it all been welded up), maybe the Corrado one to. Added some trim tape to replicate the side moudlings (which I have). Its runs okay but a wee bit hesitant when cold. Coilovers are a tad bouncy so will look into decent replacements. Overall Im quite chuffed with it, just needs a few tweeks. 16v takes a bit of getting used to after years of 6cyl and turbo's.
Looks great in silver, don’t remember seeing many in that colour. Quite like the amber front tints tho, breaks the front end up a bit. Were they not available with amber from the factory?
In the US I think. I might try them again (it was tint film), as you say it does break it up a little. Might go okay with the gold wheels (although Im not sure on the gold, lol)
The Corrado is such a great shape it doesn’t need much to look spot on. I prefer the style of the gold wheels are they 16”? Think 15” look a little lost on the rado.
Looks nice - 9 Corrado's - you are a gluten for punishment! Although saying that my own has been pretty relaible. 16s seem to be the ideal wheel choice, both of the options you've got look great though.
