Scirocco's / Corrado's Wanted for New Scirocco Launch @ Alan Day VW

Hey everyone,

Some of you may know that i work in Sales @ Alan Day VW, New Southgate (North London). We're looking for a nice mk1 and mk2 scirocco, and a nice corrado for our new Scirocco launch on the night of 31st august -> 1st sept. We're going to be organising a launch at midnight so should be a good event, naturally everyone's invited along anyway.

We will need nice cars, and preferably as standard as possible, we dont mind if there are a few modifications but not diverting 'too' much away from the OEM look. Cars will be in their own area and probably cordoned off so that members of the public can look but not start poking here and there.

Whoever can make it for that night / following day will get 200 to spend at our parts dept and obviously the pride that your motor will be sitting in the middle of our prestige showroom!

PM me / post pics up of your cars before Friday 22nd and we'll see which ones we'd like in our dealership!

AndyRhino on here has got one of the mintest oem Corrados i've seen.

 

If you want to pay for a tow truck from stoke and back I got a mk2 rocco storm y' can use.

If nobody else comes forwards, I have a Mk1 Scirocco Storm, but I'm in Cheshire - are you able to pick up the transport costs (it has no MoT)?

Suggestion for Rocco's is pop an ad on the SciroccoRegister Theres plenty to choose from there.

Failing that, I nominate Sean! hehe

 

The wife's Corrado would probably be ideal being low mileage and totally OEM, but we're a bit far away and to be honest the car is in serious need of a 'detail'!

 

Clay bar, three buckets, microfibre cloth, special foaming hose attachment, Porter Cable buffer, paint thickness checker, 3000 pot of wax? You tight git, Trev.

 

Actually I've just bought a Meguiar's G220 polisher, Parz. I am now a pro detailer.

Can't be arѕed actually using it though. Still sits brand new and never used in the box, and I don't have any, uh, um, stuff to go with it.

 

you forgot the special blue tape, without that you aren't a pro!

Bit of an update. Found a mk2 rocco (D***MON) and Jay's Corrado, just need a mk1 rocco now. Might pop over to the scirocco register if nothing pops up here... feel free to PM me / add to this thread if you do!

 

If it helps, we did a rough count and there's only about 400 Mk1s, 50-100 of which are Storms. These are estimated figures.
