Howdy folks! I've just bought a rather distressed Caddy & the seats are absolutely mingin'. I'm lookin to replace them as cheaply as possible, so what are my options? Does anyone know if mk2 or mk3 polo seats will fit?

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    If it's a mk1 caddy, and mk1 & 2 Golf, Mk2 & 3 Polo, Scirocco or Corrado seats will fit or if it's a Caddy van, mk3 Golf and mk4 & 5 Polo seats will fit.

Cheers for that Alan, yep it's a Mk1 Caddy. Looks like I'll be hunting down some mk3 polo seats!

Could anyone help me!? Sadly my polo 6n2 gti has recently died and it’s going to cost me a small fortune to fix. It’s immaculate with low miles. So I am going to keep it. I was thinking of upgrading the interior. So I will have a spare set of seat. Steering wheel and gear shift. I’ve recently purchased a mk2 caddy. Does anyone know what would fit in the caddy from the polo? Ideally seats and steering wheel. Thanks for any help.

seats and wheel will go yes, as will mk3 golf ones. up front caddy is based off the same platform as the ibiza and polo saloon/estate, so much so people have bolted ibiza front ends onto them for something a little different

Will the seats literally go on the same runners?

    yep direct fit.

To put your mind at rest, caddy base frame is 6K0881105 & 6. Same part is listed for polo saloon/estate for poverty spec, higher spec saloon/estate use frame 6N0881105Q which is also listed to fit 6n polo hatch :)

see here they have seperate runners bolted thru the floor, and seats bolt to them. If you really want your polo seats to go in and you're handy at fabrication you can probably modify the old caddy bases to the polo bases

Luckily I work with a welder so if I decide to I will get him to do it for me. If not my friends brother does boat refitting. He’s said he could reupholster the seats and deck the bed out. So that’s an option. But much more expensive.
