I started this tread as an attempt to get those who are on our ClubGTI facebook page share some content to this Forum.... All it need is a little time and effort, save some pictures, write a few words or copy the original text from that post.... and post it on this forum....its what forums are about Also give credit to those who did the Original post on facebook ( eventually add a link) PS : If everyone think someone else will do it ….then nothing ever happens…. I believe the red Mk 1 PGO 956Y (owned by Chris Williams) was being restored a few years back. Graham Whittaker hand timing people away from the start line! ... I do remember GTI International at Crowborough in 1989 being a bit chaotic initially. Way more people turned up than the organisers had planned and there were huge queues. Club GTI members pitched in to help with getting people admitted and directed, but it was a great day. Looking at MOT History, there only appears to be one of these cars still on the road, B596 XTM. Which is good to see, as I imported it as a new car from Holland in 1985. I believe it is in Leicestershire somewhere And 30 years later, still going ...
