Sump gasket paper cork or rubber which one?

    ElsaWin calls for a little sealant at the points where the flanges meet the block, D 454 300 A2

    I've just ordered rubber gasket and an oil pump from vw heritage. No idea what's on the pb 8v at the moment. Have you got a screwfix part number for the longer bolts just in case?

    Scrap that found them ordered screws and washers from screwfix ta

    Just get some from a mk3 1.6 1.8 2.0 and more, sump is the same and all had rubber/metal gasket. If i remember correctly i have mk3 bolts and gasket on my driver 1.6ez.

    Heritage have just sent me a rubber one. Pump arrived later as was out of stock. Probably didn't need it as strainer was blocked with broken baffle plastic pieces

    I found my 1.6 ez engine had long enough bolts for the rubber gasket.
