    That's an absolute monster!
How much work went into the subframe / rear mounts?

Does anyone know what this noise is? It’s not the throw out bearing and it’s coming from the gearbox side.

We found gouges on the cam bridge and the cams. I had to get a “new” head. It’s going in tomorrow

We’re not sure what happened but now I’m waiting on the correct head bolts to come in.

Why do you need to move the bracket? Couldn't you just space the engine 5mm or so forward to clear the cup?

The cup is where the driveshaft needs to go when 02m is fitted that's the trouble, if you move the engine the shafts would end up angled and engine way out of position

How much do you need to move it for an 02m box?

I'll be honest, I bought 3already done, doesn't look a huge amount judging from bare metal bit.
I got epytec brackets, and they say cut mount off, attach to bracket, drop engine 3box in on other 2 which then puts 3rd in position to tack weld.
Cant be much as would skew engine over.

    Fair enough.
I’m going to make all the brackets and mounts myself so I’ll figure it out

The o2m epytec kit was well made, and varies in price depending who you get it from, it's an easy solution, bolts in and just have to move mount, and weld the front support to the starter mount.

Yeah there’s absolutely no reason why I’d buy that. Thanks for the pictures. Now I know what I’m looking at [:D]

Well I thought I would bring this thread back to life. I’ve had about a year driving the car around and there are a few issues I need to sort out. I finally ordered a new exhaust system from trackslag, to include the down pipe. While admiring the system in my hall wall I noticed that there is a place for a lamda sensor on the down pipe before both flexies. My current exhaust only has 1 lamda sensor and it’s where the 2 down pipe go into one. This might be why it smells of petrol all the time.

I’m also having a few electrical issues that I need to sort out but I think it’s gonna require me pulling the loom out and going through it inside where I can unwrap it a see just what my friend did. Plus it’ll give me access to the front of the engine to sort my oil leaks. I’ll also try to keep this thread updated and ask my questions on here
