Iv recently purchased some 2nd hand spax dampers.
the bumpstop on the rear seem to me to be far too long, they are vw oe by the look.

Can anyone tell me if spax krypton range have internal bumpstops or how far would be recommended to cut down the originals?
    See photo in the link.

mk2/3 bump stops are supposed to be pretty long, you shouldn't need to mess with them unless the car is lowered by large amount then you trim them down where required

was always said to cut them back when i was into this sort of thing...best thing would be drop the car on its wheels with the cover off and have a look, you dont want it sat on the stops at rest

Thanks for the replies. At the moment they are as long as the section of Rod which slides into the damper. If I slide over the bumpstop only the threads and part which the top mounts go on are visible.
