Swapping Seat Backs

I haven't had a proper look yet but perhaps someone can give me a definitive answer.
The left bolster on my driver's seat is fubarred but the passenger seat is fine. Is it possible to swap just the backrest part rather than simply swapping the seats left to right. I ask as I would like to keep the seat height adjustment on the driver's side.

I have stripped and rebuilt rights as lefts, and vice versa. But that was foam off etc. But I can't see any issues, unless it's a 3dr, your tilt mechanism will be on the wrong side.

 

You could just swap new foam and material from a good seat onto the metal of your drivers seat.

 

Thanks Tristan, I can live with the adjuster being on the wrong side. I can then refurb the broken side at leisure and swap them back

 

That's the plan, longer term.

 

Is there a reason why 5 door is better than 3?

 

May have pair CL 5 door seats if close to Halifax, if any use
