Blimey, this thread has been a real hit… Something your parents would have given back in the day… or would have found on Top of the Pops.

The big baby deer is still outside the brothers factory in shepton mallet, think the babycham brand has been sold a couple of times at least.
Occasionally see the glasses in antique shops so may get some, just for the real retro feel.
I'll try and get a picture next week, I'm passing it.

Thank you for getting it up and going, it's like a digital care home or something.
On the subject of top of the pops, they used to sell lp records that were 'not by the original artists'

Probably the same time as Magic Trees but who remembers Feu Orange air fresheners? Then we had Poppy Coral - suddenly having a cool shiny air freshener was trendy.

Managed to find a feu orange at the scrappy when I had my minor, hung by it's little chain, ultimate period accessory, recharged it with a modern air freshener, still had the pin in it too!
Got a turtlewax turtle one as well, shell lifted up to control the odour.
Afraid I can't remember poppy coral, off to Google...

They’re the best air freshener, there’s copies but they don’t smell the same. My dad had one in his Mk2 when I was younger F606 GRR

You never see furry dice any more.

A 'digital care home' - I kind of like the sound of that......

You're generally an old-timer if you agree with any or all of the following statements:

Current music is complete shite and annoying as f@ck!
You're constantly irriated/annoyed by something or someone!
Your body is making strange noises/doing strange and uncomfortable things not previously encountered...Can confirm!!! (see above)
Old cars rule and in fact a lot of older things rule as opposed to 'modern' offerings!
Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/T'internet annoy the face off you and are full of woke (useless) good for nothings....
An actual full night's sleep is nothing short of a miracle..and is to be relished and spoke about at some lenght the following day..
Your eyesight has generally gone to hell in a handbasket...
Attempting to wear clothes that do not have "comfort fit" on them is an utterly infuriating and pointless experience...
A warm workshop/garage has become a medical necessity rather than a youthful dream..
Car/Car Part/Tool/Car Restoration catalogues/magazines have become compulsory reading materials..especially in the khazi!
Hoarding older cars/car parts/tools/car magazines/car memorabilia fills you with an enormous sense of wellbeing...
The thought of visitors/cousins/family (unless they are likeminded souls) calling to your home drives you berserk...
Going out and 'meeting people' (other than kindred spirits) is deemed to be a fate worse than death...
You've been told by your doctor to: "lose weight/start exercising/reduce alcohol consumption/prepare for a prostate exam/colonscopy"...
You're currently eating/drinking a lot of ' green shite' due to above recommendations and it's driving you bananas...
You're driving your classic car and it's only acknowledged/recognised by people of a 'certain age'....
Room 101/One Foot in the Grave/Grumpy Old Men has become compulsory watching and not only that but you fully agree and sympathise with them..
At some stage in the not so recent past, you've realised to your complete horror - your parents were right about everything and or you're just like them...
The thought of diving into an old car parts bin at a show/event/auction/estate sale is more exciting than the thought of muff diving the missus..

@costel1969 , I thought you were answering the question "Who is Dodgy Dave?"
But then I got towards the end :)

What did we buy at the weekend? A mid century curved, glass, mirror back display cabinet, from the 'tip shop' (no car parts this time @PhilRyder )
It's complete, even the key, will get a little refresh and be used in the house, not destined for landfill, it's nice, old and has potential, bit like me really.

I fit in most of those catergories. I must be an old timer.

Disappointed Saturday, babycham deer has gone, and... 20220506_170907.jpg

It's tiny, and is vanilla, not orange. But was under £2.

Excuse the sawdust in the car, keeps falling out me ears.

What happened to people adding Renualt Laguna and Cupra lower splitters to cars? Seemed to be everywhere and now a rare sight.

This crossed my mind the other day in the discussion on a 90s style, which ended up as a tsw reminiscing thread.
Cossie bumpers on everything too, why did that die out?

The Irish Sea makes it a bit difficult, sadly.

Today in work I tried the old "He's leaving Friday!!" Joke.
Greeted with the usual "Who?" (As expected)
I reply "Robinson Crusoe, they had a hell of a fight"

Fell flat on face when came the retort " I've no idea who Robbie Sancrew is, was he someonefrom the old days?" [:[]

    Kids.
