I thought this is probably the right place to post this.

I have been enquiring about roll cages for my Mk1 and have been looking at Custom Cages.

The Club kit they offer is a 6 point weld in job with door bars but no info given on wieght etc. So a quick mail later confirms that this cage is only 25kgs! Awesome!

A couple of a Mk5 Polo Super 1600 with a Custom Cages rollcage fitted. Not the best photos but might be useful to someone.

This is a nice car, sadly incomplete. It's a spare unused works shell from the ~ 2001 UK rally campaign, TNT cars (orange mirrors).

    Thought I'd contribute.

We seem to have very different roll cage regulations and designs here in Australia and I thought you might like to see a couple of good examples.

I'm about to have one built for my car, it will be from the same company that made these, Brown Davis.

These pictures are from my friends rally car and his daughters autocross car.

I'm setting up for track work and probably won't need to quite as extreme as these.

The overhead cross member is becoming mandatory in some categories and the main hoop design is the result of Brown Davis theoretical modelling and practical crush testing.

Infinity and Dale (not 100% on username) have them / fitted them themselves.

Pics of one on my thread here (first one made by CC I believe).

Involved-ish to fit, dropping tubes through the floor I'm told to get the top bars seamed fully round. Thinking about it, I can't quite get my head around all that, since the tubes drop onto the sills!

Watch the video on the CC website. They use ratchet straps to pull the bottom of the tubes in off the sills.

That's the black one, with Viper Motorsport on the tailgate?

From what I know, Mad 20v fitted a Rollcentre. Came with a tube profiler (or had to buy one). Hassle.

    CC I believe are pre-profiled.

Tap infinity a PM and ask him to comment on his CC install experience

Got my car back from the engineer today. They did a great job and I'm very happy with the result. (Bear in mind we've got different regs here in Australia when viewing these.)
