Touran 1.8t conversion

Hi all, looking at putting a 20v 1.8t in my Touran 2007. Getting a few mixed messages. Some people tell me it's a straight swap and follow the caddy conversions and others tell me I can only use Mk5 and mk6, but I really want the MK4 GTi engine. Can it be done? Also what would be needed and would I need to get anything coded?

I imagine it'd be easier with a 2.0 as the car is based on the mk5 era platform.
