Well it is the weekend and we grow closer to the grave. However despite that fact, we should give thanks as it is another Friday.

I have met and chatted to some incredibly talented enthusiasts, over the course of the last decade, both here and on social media platforms.

As I get more involved with vehicle engineering and development, be it from a practical or the most technological standpoint, I have less tolerance for checkbook vehicles. However I do have a soft spot for vehicles built with passion, where an investment has been made to engineer the right components to have function and as a side effect form.

There are vehicles that catch my attention and brighten up my day. The ones with engineering detail and functionality that you just have the share.

Like the next vehicle I am about to share with you, belonging to Morten Kronborg.

Morten and Nicolai from Denmark, have taken this 8P A3 Audi and based it's powertrain upgrades on the EA390 engine. Many us have come to love these 3.2 VR6 engines for the noise and also the go they can have when properly boosted. While some of us would be happy to experience the girth of these engines with just a head spacer job on the standard bottom end, and the usual EMU, Emerald or OEM ECU, our Danish enthusiast has taken a completely a unique approach to this engineering challenge.

    Key points of the car?

    1) 3.3 VR6 24v EA390 engine with DP Engineering pistons and rods

    2) Supertech intake and exhaust valves
