Never underestimate the power of a biscuit.

Many the soul has risked it for a biscuit!

My boy "invented " the double decker bourbon,
Take 2 of them, split one apart, eat the plain biscuit, then stick bit with cream on the other bourbon biscuit.

    He has my brains.

Also, the best and most Decadent thing re confectionery, is to get a cadburys Snack sandwich, or Jacobs Club Milk , nibble the bare top and bottom ends off, dip it in your cup of tea and suck the tea up through it.

Then eat the biccy, fairly pronto.

Sounds terrible, but when you taste the biccy, you'll thank me .

Tim tams in New Zealand is the well known biscuit for that, didn't try it though.

Have done a similar thing with chocolate fingers and port. Not ashamed!

Well you should be, there is no farting around with biscuits (dunking, sucking, splitting etc.)
Eat the feckin biscuit and drink the feckin tea! (Not port)
What have we become? We developed the internal combustion engine, went to the moon and now look at us, just look at us….

Quick field report on the biscuit repair situation:

    2023-05-25 - cgti biscuits 01.JPG

    2023-05-25 - cgti biscuits 02.JPG

Tunnocks tea cakes certainly up to the job after a spot of re-shaping.

    2023-05-25 - cgti biscuits 03.JPG

Stack o' classics turned out to be too crumbly and wasn't a stable solution

    2023-05-25 - cgti biscuits 04.JPG

Wildcard chocolate hobnob however looks to be a strong contender to the tea cakes!

Now this is truly magnificent work - as I said already, Tunnock Tea Cakes are the business (Tasty and also Technically Proficient in Mk2 rear quarter repairs). I would also say that this is the best place for a Hobnob, certainly a lot better than in your gob (See Biscuits! thread..)

Make no mistake dear people of ClubGTI - We continue to produce new, novel and very tasty (except for the Hobnobs, Nice and Bourbon Creams..) solutions to vexing volkswagen issues.

This kind of innovative and lateral thinking has kept this forum going when so many others have fallen by the wayside!

The lights in biscuit wrappers looks an interesting idea although I suspect the police would want them in red and amber wrappers. I'd be careful with using the hobnob filler backing since it might get damp worsening the situation.
I like the teacake wrap since wraps are "on trend"
    Good effort

Would you need to use green viscount biscuits if this was body repairs on a polo?

Actually as its on a golf, is it advisable to use a club biscuit?

And on the mechanical parts do you use those volkswagen sausages, obviously best to use original parts.

Quick update on the JDM special:

Finally had a break in the rainy weather to chop a donor corner from my first mk2

    2023-08-01 - cgti mozza 01.JPG

Decided to remove the trims either side of the rear arch to see how bad it is underneath. Happily it looks OK - but I did lose the plugs for the rear bumper bracket down in the lower quarter - are these gone forever or is there a trick to get them back?

    2023-08-01 - cgti mozza 02.JPG

Also decided to remove the windscreen and dash so I can get the scuttle fixed at the same time. Surprise surprise I uncovered some hidden rust in both lower corners. Can anybody say project creep!?

Booked in with a local welder on a recommend from a mate and should be getting collected in a week or two

Great work! Your windscreen surround looks like my wife hobnobs, but look solid enough. I just have to say this thread made my day, I do love a custard cream with my tea.
