Now im not meaning to put my pigeon in amongst the cats but.... when i was like 15 i was in to the ol' Max Power *******s and there was car in there it was a MK2 Gti that one of the editors had it was like a rust orange colour and it was amazing i loved it.... Then on my 16th birthday i actually saw it parked in the car park of Trago Mills in Cornwall when i was visiting family... from then on i knew i wanted a Golf and from that day i never looked back, bought a MK2 for my first car just before my 17th B'day and never looked back....! Im now 20 and have owned quite a few VW's Polos, mk1's, mk2's and a mk4 which i have a massive hatred for.... it was cursed im sure!!!!

But yeah... aha wait a minute, heres a cheeky pic found it in the darkest deepest delves of my cupboard...

We'll let him off the Sun visor, it was a long time ago.........

Paul Dubbles (i think) smooth Purple Mk1 G60 with Rallye headlights inspired me. Started building a VR6 Mk1 with that syling in mind, ened up with a smoothed as fook rallye VR6 that I have only just finished 6 years after starting it. And not quite looking as good as it did, but one day it will.....

i was inspired by the army green german mk1 in pvw a few years ago - ran 2L 16v on webbers i think, sripped to the max - custom carbon dash and map of the 'ring incase he forgot on his way round!

love that car, even though mk2's are my fave of all time.

Still on the road, but moved back to Greece and took the MK1 There, changed the enginee to a 300bhp NASP Beast , but them sold that engine and is now running a 2.0L 16V on throttle bodies.

    Thats what i've heard anyway.

It was my brother that inspired me to get into the VW scene.
    His MK2 was perfect in my eyes and at 15 i bought my first MK2, which was a C-reg MK2 4dr 1.3. Ive had 5 now so far, 3xGTi's 8v's, 1x 1.3 and 1x Driver...

I wish he had kept it now but he sold it a couple of years ago. I wonder if its still going strong?
