has anyone tried these? thinking of getting a set to use on my track wheels. Not too fussed about wear rate as long as the grip is good
well ive had them on mine since 158k.... so 8k miles now (nearly 9 actually) i still have 4mm left on them by the look of it, so they do wear really well, i cane the car a lot. as for grip, in the dry it is very good, on par with F1s. in the wet they do not match the F1s, maybe about 70% as good as the F1s in the wet. in the dry they are amazing though lol
Treadwear is 300, thats something like Michelin Exaltos. They wont last as long thats for sure................
i`ve got them on mine and i think they`re excellent, very good value for money. i wouldn`t use them on track tho, better off saving up and buying some proper semi- slicks, like A032r R888 etc
wear rate is 280 on F1s..... and its also 280 on Proxies. proxies seem to last as well as chocolate teapots. one day ill post up a pic of my paradas after 9k miles, theyre doing amazingly well. tbh though, the wet grip (or lack of) could be due to greasy roads. but they dont match F1s in the wet, thats for sure
I have proxies on mine and they wear stupidly quick, also they seem to be great until they reach the halfway point then there just crap. Great in the dry great in the wet (until the halfway mark) but avoid standing water unless you like ditches. Think im changing to F1's next.
I have them and love them. Excellent dry grip no matter the temp. Wet grip is good, not as good as some other tyres I have tryed but okay if you don't push too hard. Very quite and comfy.
Would like to but with limited track experience i didn't know if i would really see the benefit until my confidence levels were higher? + there's the
drove a mk5 GTI / DSG with them on, only a short road test in greasy conditions (just had light rain) felt good, not much wheel spin, and ok on sweeping bend, bear in mind I couldn't/wound't dream of pushing on somebody else's ride
