When AUDI Engineers decide to do things they do it 'RIGHT'. WRC Rallying, USA Motorsport, Le Mans, DTM V8s, etc. They built cars that won. My prediction is that they will win the Paris Dakar with this beautiful car. I want one! The trouble is they don't make well engineered high performance cars for the road!
just seen the tv add for the rs etron gt - looks like a nice piece of kit but would hate to see the cost of it - dont want to see it tbh lottery jackpot win needed
Internal Combustion Engine or Electric Vehicle. I do prefer the full 7 letters sDa, if you don't. The diminutive, albeit meant in friendship version never sat comfortably with me.
So sorry Tristan. Hopefully I will not make the same mistake again. But: #1 - I am now 73 and losing whatever little brain capacity I had very rapidly. #2 - I am in Bahrain and drinking so much beer and whiskey that I am not fully responsible for what I write at certain times of the day! #3 - I have two very noisy women (Elaine and Ruth) yakking all day long. Even with noise cancelling ear pods they are still doing my head in. ICE and EV - I am obviously stupid. I really should have known. Kindest regards, Always, sDa. p.s. Ruth is coming to Eire next year and wants to visit as she is really keen on a small motorhome.
Hi Ger. I was not ignoring you it's just that Tristan and I banter a lot. I don't watch much TV and did not know that the RS Etron GT existed! It certainly looks interesting but, like all modern VAG cars, except for the Porsche 911 series, it's not my kind of car! NOW. If they had built this, and made RHD versions, I certainly would be driving one because it's only got 2 doors!
They are grand thank you. I am OK as well. Ruth's friend Heather's husband Alex is a petrol head, like yourself! He used to be manager of a race team at the Bahrain circuit. He has: E30 M3 Racer E36 M3 Road Car Audi Quattro A1 Group B replica Some type of American Truck thingy I have yet to see the replica.
Hi Mike. I keep my eye on the CGTI forums but don't often reply. Hugo keeps me going with items that interest me. Except for the Porsche 911 series all modern cars are anathema to me! Regard, Dave
It would appear that the 300 kW electric power needs a 610 ps 2.0 l TFSI DTM motor to charge the battery!
Looks like you were quite correct Sam. I read today that AUDI & PORSCHE are considering getting into F1.!?
