I deperately need the clutch tool for my Golf MkII!(Concave, plastic disc approx 15-20cm diam., with a moulded peg in the centre....)

Does anyone know where I can buy one?

I've had no luck with ECP, GSF, various local motor factors and VW can't/won't help.
I know Sykes-Pickervant used to make them.....but not anymore....

All suggestions gratefully recieved, thanks in advance.

Do you really really need it? You can use vernier calipers to measure an even gap round the edge to make it central, or failing that do it by eye if the engine and box are out of the car. I've never had a problem that way.

yep just eye up very carefully, looking at it from every angle and adjusting slightly until it seems dead centre. Patience needed! :)

I used an allen key which was the right size to fit in gap when it was correctly alligned.
    Anything would do it really.

Yeah, even better is use drill bits, you find the right size that only gives a miniscule gap and make it even all round, job done.

I spend ages looking for one when I was doing my clutch. I found out (off G_V_K) that Sykes-Pickavent do one.

Sadly, I'd have had to wait 7 days for it to come in via Partco.

In the end I just used vernier calipers and one of the universal kits to line it up.
Not hard really, and the box went on first time.

NOTE TO MYSELF: I should really read through the whole thread before typing up.
