Registered the RA, but when I came to download the update, get an error message saying
"Error locating details of device. Please contact Blackspot".

Emailed Blackspot two days ago, but so far no reply (although I suppose they could still be on holiday).

Anyone else has this problem? Or any idea of what's up with it?(My PC recognises the RA and says it's properly installed)

Taken it out today. Took a while to locate the satellites, but other than saying it was out of date, it seems to work OK, spotting fixed cameras.

Talk about information overload though - radio on, both the Sat Nav and the RA talking at the same time, phone call......

Need to get mine registered [8-}]

Stella, think it says something about the problem you have in the trouble shooting section of the site.

Gary - I've been through all the support/trouble-shooting stuff, reinstalled etc, still no joy.

At one stage, it told me the server wasn't responding and after retrying, it gave up. Next time I tried, it went back to the original error message, so I guess I'll have to wait until they reopen.

Anyone else who has a New RA, what driver are you using? Mine is 1.05.04 and when I try to update, it says V3.2.3 UK on the box.

Hmmmmm - if they've got time to write emails, why the heck couldn't they get on with the registration whilst they were at it? [:x]

Looks like I'll be driving home to Warwickshire tomorrow with the old Roadie instead. Anyway, now I come to think of it, it's quite reassuring being reminded every time I pass a petrol station (I might need some) or traffic lights (in case I didn't notice them!):lol::lol::lol:

I'll give them one more day.... then I'll get cross (or crosser! [:x] ) ........

No help to you, but I can't imagine they are actually writing the emails - they look like standard automatically sent ones!

You should be so lucky! ;) Mine didn't attempt to upload or download anything at all! [:x]I wonder how Darryn's getting on with his? He's prolly smugly speeding around with his in full working order, instead of being on here ;)

Anyway, what business have they got, taking holidays and sending out auto-emails? They should be at work, registering people! Damn work-shy lot! [:x]

Can anyone tell me how long the update usually takes to complete? It seems to be timing out after 30mins (on 512k BB)

D - Have you followed the USB software instructions on the PDF files? - Go into device manager and enable RA - Install the driver from the folder etc etc?
