This type of thing always concerns me at the 'ring, stranded car in middle of track over blind crest.. eeek!

Basically, Caterham crests rise over Eau Rouge, loses it on oil/coolant, spanks the left hand barrier, bounces across the track, while he's trying to get out, Honda crests rise, crashes the same way as the Caterham did and hits the Caterham. [:^(]

Vid seems to work again. [:$]

Edit: Just watched it, very VERY relieved to see that the Caterham chappie doesn't get mullered like I thought. :)

Edit 2: Never been on a track day, so please forgive me if I sound thick. I saw some sort of fluid on the track right from the get go, and it sounds like the Westy driver flooring it just as he gets to the wet stuff. Why?

Also (fair enough the chap's probably bloody well shook up): I'd be getting out of the car bloody carefully yet quickly. Seems like he's taking all the time in the world [:s]

Again forgive me, no dissrespect to the guys involved as I might have it so very horribly wrong.

Just asking the more seasoned amongst you. :)

I have driven a couple of laps around Spa, when you crest that rise, from the drivers seat, you can only see the sky  If the sun was in his eyes, he may not have seen coolant on the track, the camera is on the roll cage so it gives a different field of vision. Ideally marshals should have had the debris flag out warning of a spillage too.

I suppose he should have waited in the car until help was on hand from the marshals, but when you're sitting there knowing someone could pile into you, would do you do? [><]
