No way!! So sorry to hear that. Was it the MK2 in your sig ? Im sure if any of the parts are seen for sale it will be posted up on here.
Thanks Richard, yes its the same car although it was on standard suspension and on different wheels, had it ten years in June, (that pic was taken in 2003) keep telling myself its just a car but I had become quite attached to it
Had a phone call from the police last night, golfy has been found the car is currently awaiting police examination at a local recovery yard, hopefully I can collect it mid next week. was a real suprise, I never thought i'd see it again, there's no word on condition as yet although the police did say there was no body damage visible, I'll update when I get more details. Pete
Great news. Really chuffed for you and what a great Xmas surprise Lets hope everything is intact and how it was when you had it. Keep us posted
Good news in time for Christmas, will you be getting the car back though as surely if the insurance have paid out on it then surely technically it's now their car? How does it work?
Thanks for all the kind wishes gents, yes I can't wait to get behind the wheel again, I'm just hoping its in a drivable condition. The car was uninsured at the time ( I foolishly presumed that the lock up was secure) so I think it should be quite straightforward,
