    Career opportunity

    We have an opening available for anyone interested in a career in welding.
    If any potential candidates would like to show off their level of welding prowess, you will be most welcome to attend a short practical test. This test will involve welding a nut onto a broken stud. The bolt will then need to be unscrewed whilst turning the nut you have welded too it. This will show if your welding penetration is up to standard.

  12. You don't even need a grinder, a hammer and a brick bolster or cold chisel will cut a hole big enough to work through. Done it on a billion Golfs - just cut a big flap, bend it back, sort out your captive nut, then have someone weld the floor up for cheap money afterwards when you can drive to a garage. Takes them about 10 mins to weld up, and an MoT tester won't see it unless he decides to take the carpet out for some reason! Throw some Waxoyl or Dinitrol in there while you're at it.

    You are going to have to come up with something a little more "out there" than that.
    Apparently it is mushroom season, this may help with your imagination. ;)

    Well, we are just repeating ourselves now. You could always try welding a nut on to the broken stud and then unscrew it.

    could always lower the sub frame and get some BIG grips on the busted stud.
    just thought prob get away with a cable tie :thumbup:
