As per title, it doesn't have a vacuum line plugged into it. It has a rubber bung over the inlet. It supposed to have a vacuum right? I read that the vacuum tells the WUR to richen the mixture under acceleration, is this right? Cheers. oh, car is 89' Mk2 Golf Valver.
There should be another port on the side that has the vacuum connection on it. The one on the front is just a vent with a protective cap.
good point ,id like to know this too here is a pic of the wur vac pipe and bung, this is how its normally set up
And if I opened my bloody eyes, I would have seen the rubber pipe coming off the side of it. DOH! Cheers guys. Sorry!
I lost the protective cap yesterday... is that really important? there is any risk of driving the car without it???
dont put tape over it.... then you block the hole and it cant suck the plunger as the area behind is is now sealed. have a look in the scrappy etc for a new cover, or run with out... or find something else to go over it... so long as it doesnt seel the hole up its fine.
