I would like to announce we have put together another forum members benefit as outlined above When you call for your quote, please tell them your from Club GTI to benefit!! I personally have taken out a multi car policy with them so I am bias's, but for the same money I was asked for just the Mk1 TDI to insure I got the Mk1 TDI, Mk1 GTI, and the Mk4 GTTDI (130) in a multi-car policy All fully comp, unlimited mileage (not that I do much in each anyway)
Had my trade policy with them for the last two years and had no complaints...til renewal, one NON fault claim but they wanted to put my premium up from 1250 to 2400, safe to say i didnt take them up on their offer and managed to get cover with Aviva without the restrictions of 'No Evo,Subaru or Cosworth' that they put on me, managed to double my value of any 1 car to 30k and get cover for my Ducati,my workshop and my tools included and still saved over 400 on their quote. Hope they are as good to you all next year! Obviously this is just my opinion and there may have been some unfathomable reason for the price hike (they did get bought out by a major insurance company!?!) but in todays competitive world they may need to sharpen their pencils a little. Rant over.
nothing new about the discount though I insured my Jetta with them in April with them and got a good discount with them by telling them my membership number
I've no idea, I'd advise to call them so many factors with insurance! They also insured one of mine with a cage - declared but I did have a selection of motors - Ideally for a classic multi car policy you'll have 2 classic and one modern motor We have been in talks with them for ages, glad you were able to benefit, but it's official Just keep reminding them where your from!
I think the age is 25 and above. I'm with FJ and have been with various cars. I think I did get a discount when I renewed in September. Good news all the same for members looking for quotes.
Ive used FJ twice before as well and qualified for owners club discount by using my Club GTI membership.
i think part of the problem is going from a 1.6 driver to 20vt, problem is then the BHP increase then is well over 100bhp. i`m selling the car now, i`m not feeling the love
just goes to show how comapanise are very wary of modified cars, happy for the preimuim to go thought the roof or not take on the risk! nice one Mike for getting 100 extra in the spends budget
Footman James refused to quote on the Mk1 as it was 'too modified' put me through to a company called Connections who put me through to another company.... after being transferred and put on hold for around half an hour I hung up and took a policy out with Adrian Flux.
i thought call connections were brilliant when i used them,i had calls all day long and the quotes got cheaper each time,i saved a fair bit when i used them,it save me the hassle of ringing them, and if your busy they ring you back when you say
