... make a lot of money by releasing the same tune over and over again, with different words.

With the exception of Seven Nation Army, total sh*te.

    That is all.

    :)

Hmm...all I can say is if you dont like it, dont listen.
Your comments are clear you have never actually listened to them, or More importantly, seen them Live. Im not a huge fan but by golly the performance at Glasto was the best for many a year!

I listened as I thought it was fair to try them first before making a comment.

    See above.

Obviously no, I`ve never listened to them.

Thats how I know I think they are crap, by not listening to them.

    [8-}]

Right, so you like them then.

    I dont.

Obviously as you like them that means I (and others here) are wrong.

Do you not understand the concept of personal taste ?

The White Stripes are sh*t, IMO.

Thank you, goodnight, close the door as you leave.

No I dont like them, But I can see how he is a god songwriter with soul and good vibe. Ive paid to see them once, about 3 years ago.

Obviously you have listened to them to form an opinion. All I mean is one quick listen cant form an opinion.
Think about your favourite record/s. I bet you didnt think much of them on first listen. An album that blows me away on 1st listen Im always wary of and usually 3 months later it wont still be a favourite. This weekend Ive been to see OCS(Fri), Clap you hands say yeah(Sat), The Bravery, The Paddingtons, Protocol and Hockey night(Sun). Tomorrow Im going to see Forward Russia! and Thursday The Young Knives. Only from seeing a band live can you make a harsh judgement and bout them not being great(barring pop stuff obviously!)

Now I can say The Bravery were terrible and cannot sing live.

I`ve heard more than enough of their `material` to form an opinion.

And my opinion is they are sh*t.

Hmm ... as an example I`ll cite The Jam.

I loved them the minute I heard them as a boy.

20 years later, I still love them.

No hes not, most of their songs have a tune thats alarmingly similar to the last one.

Only with different lyrics, which are also sh*t.

theyre not crap, they just get seroiusly overplayed till even i get bored of them, theres much better stuff that doesnt get radio play, not that im the biggest fan, im with Dub Dave, you need to hear it all properly

  13. superden Forum Addict

Please explain how many ways there are to `hear` music ?

I have `heard` them, quite a lot in fact.

As a result of `hearing them properly` I think they are crap.

    :)

Exactly, this allows us to listen to them 'properly' i.e. every time you turn on the radio or sky music channels and judge that they are indeed, guff...
