so I assume your related then Maybe there really good because they have 6 fingers? Ive never seen them live but I imagine they will be pretty brutal..which is always a good thing.
I like heavy..Im currently listening to Probot And the new Ryan Adams LP, which is great, his Third LP of this year! Now thats what I call musical output, all of outstanding quality too. The man could teach everyone a thing or two.
I disagree completely, to say you cant form an immediate opinion is complete crap. I heard (as an example) albums by The Jam when I was a nipper and loved them straight away. 25 years on and they are still in my multichanger all the time, and still top of my list. Edited by: superden
maybe so, but i certainly agree. Theres albums that ive spouted as being amazing and incredible after a few days that i cant be bottomd to listen to after a month. Razorlight was one, cant even remember the name of the album. my favorite music has always taken time to adjust to, Things that sound good for many years have to be a little different, and prehaps be slightly ahead of there time. like the jam
when you say an immediate oppinion, how immediate do you mean? 1 song 1 album. if i dont immediately get into an album i'll give it a weekend or a few days of listening, some tunes sound great in the car, some are great to chill to and some to dance to. gotta give it time to get you into it. cant listen to jack johnson in the car, but when i'm sat round the house with my mates its a great cd to have in the background. Analbum ? By the way, when I say immediate, I mean immediate. When I first heard The Jam, there was no inner debate. I heard the album once and that was it, I was hooked and continue to be so today. My point is, the original comment about not being able to decide after a quick listen is crap. You can, quite easily, make a choice as to whether you like an album or not after one listen. Unless of course, you are rather anal about music in general and like to `analyse` an album and its mull over its `lyrical content`. If you do, fairy snuff. Thats not to say that some songs/albums cant grow on you. Its happened to me more than once, but I certainly wouldnt go out of my way to listen to something I dont like, whatever anyone else may say about the merits of the album/song. Either I like it or I dont and thats that, anything else is just pretentious crap. Edited by: superden
