Passat 1Z TDI 4-stud with drums, '95 model - 1344mm - the car I expected to be wider, isn't Managed to measure this from underneath with no probs, so should be an easy measurement for anyone else.
Interesting that is the same width as the 1Z engine toledo,is the front wide track or not? (toledo is not) Also measured 2 x 5 stud mk3 golf GTI axles, 1 with ABS & 1 without, both came in at 1358mm.
Before I lose this pic again, 1990 spec Mk2 axle with outer strentheners on the trailing section from here
my mk2 axle is like that, but has the internal arb, reference checks out as golf mk2 gti G60 or Corrado G60 (same axle) 1340mm I'm afraid
Hi, new to this forum, was directed to this thread by members of Ed38 and Autostadt.ie. I have a '94 CL. Can someone tell me it's exact length and what's the narrowest mk2 beam I can fit in it's place?
94 is right on the changeover for the mk3, see the picture at the top of this page. best bet is measure your beam as it could be the same as mk2 or wider! to measure you'll have to jack the rear up (chock front wheels!) then drop the axle off both the rear shocks so you can get a tape measure across
Has anyone posted the dims for the Mk1 beam? I've been searching but can't find anything maybe I'm missing it, idk. I can measure mine tomorrow but I'm not sure if it's actually straight or not.
Ok, I measured the beam on my Mk1 and it's about 129.6cm. Is this ok, is this bent , I don't know , anyone?
