020 AUG gearbox

Anybody got one on a 16v? I know what the ratios are but how does the longer 2nd and 5th make the car feel? Is the 5th too long or not? Does the longer 2nd make third feel quicker or not? Also what car did it come in from factory, i am suspecting a mk3 8v but could be wrong.

 

I guess thats no one then so far...

 

I thought the AUG is from a MK2 8v.
I'll double check tonight for you, but I'm sure I've got one on the '89 MK2 8v.

If it is the one I'm thinking off, then only 2nd gear is different from later MK2 'boxes (ACG?).

MMmmm. Ok. Thanks mate. From the ratio charts, the 5th is slightly longer too.

 

Just checked..the '89 8v has a 020 ACD, and the '91 J plate 8v has a 020 AUG.

If this helps, both of these have the same fifth gear, only 2nd is different according to Haynes.
