Hello! I am new here in this forum! I own a VW Corrado since last summer and have been working on its full reconstruction! Probably tomorrow I will post some pics of the whole process, if I have no work at the office (sure I don't ). I have read almost all topics about the problem I would like to explain, but only one has been found about it and did not get to any solution... The problem: when starting up (only for the first time, and only for about 5-10seconds) it seems the engine works with 3 cylinders. Sounding like 'trac, trac, trac, trac,,,,' at about 300-600rpm. If I push accelerator pedal down, exhaust sounds like there is too much fuel in it, like little explosions (very little). It happens for about 5-10secs, and then WOW! it begins to idle correctly. When does it happen? No matter if it the weather is cold, or it is warm; no matter if the engine is cold, or it is warm.... It can happen anytime, or can not happen for a couple of days... but it is more likely to happen when the car has been off for about 3-5hours. (but not for less than 15minutes, for example.) Thinks to have in mind: -engine fully rebuilt, 30.000kms now -k-jetronic revised by a bosch injection system specialist with the following veredict: Fuel pressure OK Plate OK -ISV OK (engine goes worse if disconnected) -MICROSWITCH OK -Temp sensor OK (resistance tested OK) -Cold injector OK (at least it gets electricity) -ignition timing OK -CO OK So here is what I have been trying to solve for the last............... 6 months? And can't find a reason for this Any help will be welcome
