    Hi Guys

Just wondering, I have a mk1 golf cabriolet 1990 carbed engine. Engine code EX i think.
I want to fit a gti cam into it just to get that extra couple BHP. Would the golf mk2 gti 8v cam fit straight in?
I'm thinking that the tappets should be the same. Both hydraulic?.Is this correct can anyone confirm before i try it?:)
    Thanks

yours is hydro tappet, so any mk2/scirocco/cabrio injection cam from a hydro head will fit right in :)

You could also fit an injection head on it, and block up the injector holes (pennies under the injector seats, and a smear of hylomar, would do the job).
