clutch needs doing so I was considering a lighter flywheel.
don't want the car off the road so was looking at Fidanza aluminium jobbies.
Anyone got these or other flywheels on 1.8t?
Also what uprated clutches are you running?

have a big turbo to be added this summer, so will be looking at 300ish through the clutch...any thoughts?

The aluminum ones can be good but they can get annoyingly hard to remove from an engine they've been on for a while in my experience.

The engine will also need rebalancing if you choose to change the flywheel.

    feck really!?
Assuming the flywheel that is on is relatively true and balanced and I replace it with one that is also true and balanced then isn't engine balancing a bit of overkill?
    What is involved?
Understood engine balacing to be a complete bottom end strip down and weighing of internals, assembling crank fly and pulley for spinning and balancing.....can't be arsed to go through that at the moment
