Hopefully someone can help me with a couple of questions. Firstly, which is the inlet and outlet to the heater matrix, and the same for the feeds from the engine (See picture).

Secondly, i've noticed on other peoples conversion that the part that circled has been removed. What does it do and i can i remove it.

Many thanks for any help in advance.

I believe the circled item is a valve for the air pump to blow air through the head and down the exhaust, you can leave the valve in but blank off the vacuum pipe going to it. The vacuum pipe opens the valve so once its sealed the valve will stay shut.

Im going to be connecting the matrix pipes tomorrow, just to confirm its the lower pipe that goes to the right port if your looking at the bulkhead?

Its not gonna make one ounce of difference which way you flow water through the matrix ;)

I didn't think it would, but i remember reading somewhere that said it did, unless it was for those crappy valves they issued to stop the matrix exploding

why would you ditch those valves? I thought they were meant to help or something.

I'm going to have my dash out so should i change the matrix while im at it?
