hello does anybody know how much a 1.8 sov turbo conversion would cost me. i got a 2.0l 8v colour concept and the performance is quite pathetic but i love my car so much to sell it and buy a faster one so thought engine conversion seemed the best bet, want to know a rough estimate so cam start saving. cheers

Are you saying you have a mk4 then- is that what a colour concept is?!

If so, a conversion would be extremely long winded - better to save to get a mk420vt.

thats quite a trek for me my mates a mechanic so trying to persuade him into doing the job he rekons putting engine in is piece of p i s s but loom will have to be done by auto electrician. how much did it cost you for the conversion not including fitting. i can see yours is far from standard so what do you reckon on a standard 150 engine and all ancilaries

Try emailing info@qpeng.co.uk - they can supply a plug and play kit, and I believe they know people who might be interested in undertaking the conversion for you.

1200 is usually good for a engine and loom. mine was done at dubsport originally. since then, 2 of my mates have been playing with it. engines been in and out a few times. most of the work is pretty straight forward. plenty of room. good luck.
