1.8t engine

    Just been offered a 225bhp 1.8t engine with gearbox and loom with 173 miles on it! Some guy drove the car out of a showroom and smashed it up down the road!. What sort of money should i expect to pay for this?

    wont the TT gear box only be any good for a 4wd? (ie, cant use it in a 2wd???)

    cos you dont want to pay 1800 bucks for a box you cant use

    as little as possiable would be my answer. If the guy has got his insurance money he should be willing to take anything

    get the box driveshafts and rear diff anyway and sell it to someone with a rallye
