My golf mk4 1.8T has just been is for service at a VW van service center.

It is running really bad, very lupmy and jerky, on part throttle it judders untill you put your foot flat down.

I thought it just needed a service (hadent had plugs for 30k ) they pluged it in to VAGCOM and it brought up no faults...any ideas??

prob an old school problem that doesn't show up on the Vag-Com

did they check the plugs, to see the condition of them, I know there long life plugs, but I still like to take them out for a clean, it can do wonders

does the throttle plate need cleaning (depends on the mileage)

Perhaps you've got an air intake leak somewhere?
