I've been told that the APU engine 20VT block(Audi A4) bolts up to the standard O/S Mk1 chassis leg and as I already have the 02A gearbox & mounts, the APU should drop straight in.

Can anyone who knows confirm this?

    Cheers.

Yep,butwhy worry about mounts when the o/sone only needs slightmod to make a 225 engine fit? i know the 225 engines are a bit more but dont miss out on one just because of the mount.

    Just my 2p worth . . .

needs a bit welding on to the top part and a bit on the bottom and 3 holes drilling.

Yeah i made one it not that bad but my only worry is that the cambelt runs rather close to the cars engine bracket. About 5mm

I've managed to get a low mileage APU from a Passat for a very good price. Just a bonus that it will drop straight in. I'll be using the QPENG kit from Ben Leech so should get a nice 220bhp/240lbft which is quite a bit for a Mk1 [:D]
