1.8T problems

    hello people

    my mum has a mk4 gti turbo. car starts fine and revs up fine but when you pull away in gear its splutering and judering.

    she says its been like it a week ever since she went to kwik fit to have a new tyre fitted.

    any ideas what the monkeys have done???

    no warning light on the dash?

    could be a damaged exhaust?

    well there is a light that has been on for about 6 months. its orange. wierd shape one??

    we took it to a vw dealer and he said it was normal for that to be lit up. this was a few months back and the car hs been running great

    i checked the engine oil. but that was ok.?


    im a complete noob with cars [:$]

    MAF sensor faulty/ clogged
    Petrol filter
    dirty air filter
    Coilpack

    Rule out the simple things first-- have a look that all the loom is plugged into everything in the bay etc
    etc

    Take it to a different dealer.
    But have a look in the hand book first to find out wot the warning light is!!
