Mates got a 1.8t engine and the temp sender on the clocks is dead!!

    Everything else is fine..
where is the sender on that engine?

any ideas what might be at fault or is it common for it to go wrong??

Remove the plastic engine cover, and the plastic around the inlet manifold too if i remember correctly, to the right of the inlet manifold and back a little look down and you will see the plug on top of the sendor, mine was really hard to get out and had to wrestle with it with long nose pliers!

It is a common fault on 20VT and is pretty cheap for the sendor too!
