    Hi,
I have recently put a 1.9 8v Donington lump in my mk1 caddy. When we set up the dizzy we didnt include the rev limiter. I dont intend to go above 7000rpm but can you tell me where its limit is roughly just so that im aware. Would hate to do damage to it!
Also can you recommend the most suitable oil to use, I put semi-synthetic run of the mill oil in but am planning a full service soon. Also is it ok to keep running it on normal unleaded fuel, or should it have an octane booster or lead substitute?
    Thanks for any help
    Matt

I would advise to keep your revs below 7k this should ensure durability. A semi synthetic oil such as Quantum is good for these engines. Unleaded fuel is also fine on these engines I would advise 97 or 99 is best but depends where you have your timing set to be honest.
