actually i just had a look.. think i can modify the 16v mount butnot sure it will fit on a mk3 vr6 subframe
you can use the standard mk2 mounts(not with a mk3 subframe as they are a diffrent fit) but you will have to clock the turbo and grind some clearance on the rear bracket as well, unless you use the dutchdub mounts you will be stuck useing a 5 speed gearbox as theres no standard mount that fits the 02m on the mk2 subframe, the other opition is to fit the mk4 mounts (which requires a lot of cutting and welding of the chassie rails) and fabrcate a lower dogbone mount hope this helps cheers jimmy
Are You Sure The Mk3 Subframe Is Different Cus I Thought The Mounts Were All The Same Same Mk2/mk3.. Ive Had A Look Ut Havent Found Anything
mk2 subframe mk3 subframe as you can see the engine mount has a diffrent attacment i belive the gearbox mount part is slightly taller as well but not 100% on that
but i could get a mk3 mnount for the back of my block? and that would then fit.. cheers for the help i do alot of research but never find out what i actually want to no
no theres at least 3 diffrent ones, have a look on vagcat.com and that should give you some idear of whats out there, not sure what ones would fit but at a guss i would look at turbo diesel or abf ones as a starting point
ive now got most my parts.. subframes the right engine mount a C2 motorsport gearbox mount the car the right tank.. now just need wheels and suspeion
good luck with the project, i love mine, let me know if u need anything measuring or photos of installation
