110 tdi

    just test driven a mk4 gt tdi....felt gutless as compared to a mk3


    1.9 tdi...chipped to 110.


    are they slow or is this one duff?

    The 90 bhp version is deathly slow but I would have though the 110 was a bit better. I suppose it also depends if by "chipped" you mean a tuning box type thingy as there's no guarantee the car was at 90bhp initially so no guarantee it's 110 now.

    chances are it's just tired, not hittiong full boost & worn MAF, even so that are only 110BHP is a heavey chassis [:x]

    My Bora TDI 110 is pretty quick, certainly not gutless.


    However, it's still booked in for a 145bhp/245lb/ft torque remap in a couple of weeks so make of that what you will... ;)

    the mark 3 had a tuning box plugged in.


    the mk4 has just had a new clutch...just doesnt seem to be


    running full turbo boost

    My other halfs Mk5 TDi (1.9 105hp version) gives my Mk3 8v a run for
    it's money up until about 50-55mph, these diesels arent as slow as
    people think. my old pug 406TD on the other hand, with the old old 90hp
    engine is DEADLY slow[:s]
